BRUNO MATHSSON
The architect and designer Bruno Mathsson was born in Varnamo, Sweden in 1907. No one has made a larger impact on modern Swedish furniture design than Mathsson. Bruno Mathsson and DUX had a close, creative partnership during the 60s and 70s which created several timeless design classics that DUX still produces.

Jetson Details

Mathsson’s designs are a fusion of traditional Swedish crafts and Modernism. During the 1960s he developed a unique building technique for wooden chairs in which the components were glued and bent under hot water. Mathsson is often described as the father of Swedish Modern design. The Jetson, Karin, and Pernilla chairs are three classics Mathsson designed for DUX.
